Understanding Mandated Reporting- A Panel
Event Summary
CEUs: Prevention
1 Hour
Domain: Prevention Ethics
Description: Mandated Reporting - when working with the public it is something that many of us will come in contact with throughout our careers. Mandated reporting is a vital way that Prevention Specialists can advocate for the wellbeing of those we serve. Despite the importance, many people in the field have a lot of questions to be answered.
This session will consist of a 10-15 minute presentation about mandated reporting, what it looks like, and what to expect followed by a 45 minute Q&A with our panelists. We understand that there many people have questions about mandated reporting, and we hope you are able to bring those questions here. You should leave more confident about what mandated reporting is, and your role as a reporter. We will be joined by Chad King and Princetta Strozier of Greene County Children Services who will share their vast knowledge and expertise with us.
Learning Objectives:
- Individuals will be able to identify their role as a mandated reporter.
- Individuals will be able to outline what happens after they make a call to Children Services.
