Description:

Risk is a word we like to avoid in the prevention world. We are doers and givers, and we believe there are good things we can do to make a positive difference in our communities. We are multi-taskers and have far too many balls in the air to think about risk on a daily basis. The reality is that risk must be understood and be considered proactively in order to mitigate the numerous threats and opportunities that your organization is facing. Tips for effective risk management will provide your organization with the tools and knowledge to create a solid foundation for your risk management plan. In the end, implementing these effective risk management strategies will protect you, your organization, your employees, and the vital prevention services you provide to individuals and communities! This training is best suited for advanced prevention professionals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the most frequent Human Resources lawsuits
  • Describe the 5 stages of risk management
  • Explain a minimum of 2 best practices for applying effective risk management within your prevention organization
