The Prevention Supervision Collaborative is a virtual group that helps to improve your supervision skills, build new skills, and create a stronger network of prevention professionals. This group will meet on the first Friday of every month (Feb 2026- June 2026) from 9am-10:30am, each week being a different topic. We will spend 1.5 hours together, leaving the last 30 minutes to focus on group discussion. With that being said, each session will provide 1 hour of CEUs.

Description:

Too often, performance reviews are a non-concept and or nonstandardized, whereby managers supervisors are left to their own devices to create and maintain an employee review process that is not evenly administered with all employees throughout a prevention organization. How can you motivate and inspire employees in this manner? Well, simply stated you cannot. Understanding techniques for effectively creating and conducting performance reviews will help you apply a fair and effective review process that will better motivate your teams and keep your employees and Human Resources department on the same page.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Define the benefits of effective performance reviews on both employers and employees.
  2. Describe the essential components of an effective performance review.
  3. Explain proactive measures for supervisors to prepare for the performance review meeting.
