Prevention Supervision Collaborative: Building Confidence in your supervisees through Coaching & Mentoring
Event Summary
The Prevention Supervision Collaborative is a virtual group that helps to improve your supervision skills, build new skills, and create a stronger network of prevention professionals. This group will meet on the first Friday of every month (Feb 2026- June 2026) from 9am-10:30am, each week being a different topic. We will spend 1.5 hours together, leaving the last 30 minutes to focus on group discussion. With that being said, each session will provide 1 hour of CEUs.

Description:
Today’s prevention organizations are under immense pressure to operate with reduced cost and increased efficiency. They must do more with less, and often have limited resources at their disposal. Effective coaches and mentors help employees identify their goals, priorities, and develop achievable strategies by sharing their valuable insight, subject matter expertise, and professional experience. This session is designed to provide prevention supervisors with the tools to build confidence in the individuals they supervise through coaching & mentoring!

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Define the differences between coaching and mentoring.
- Describe the 5 stages of the coaching process.
- Identify at least 3 ways to build confidence in supervisees
