Prevention Supervision Collab: Consulting 101

The Prevention Supervision Collaborative is a virtual group that will help to improve your supervision skills, build new skills, and create a stronger network of prevention professionals. This group will meet on the first Friday of every month (Feb. 2026-June 2026) from 9am-10:30am, each month being a different topic. We will spend 1.5 hours together, leaving the last 30 minutes to focus on group discussion. With that being said, 1 hour of CEUs will be offered.

Moving from a staff member to an independent contractor comes with new responsibilities, expectations, and opportunities. In this interactive training, participants will explore the mindset shift required to succeed as a contract worker, define their professional value, and learn strategies for setting healthy boundaries.

Learning Objectives: 

• Differentiate between the roles of employee, contractor, and consultant in prevention work.

• Articulate their unique value proposition as a prevention professional moving into contract supervision.

• Identify strategies for setting clear boundaries and avoiding scope creep when working as a contractor.
