Description: 

This session will explore the essential elements that form the foundation of effective coalition operations. Participants will learn about four key components necessary for building and maintaining strong, cohesive coalitions: Mission, Vision, Bylaws, and Position Descriptions. Through this training, attendees will gain practical insights into how these components align coalition efforts and drive success.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss how to develop clear, compelling mission and vision statements that align coalition members toward common goals.
  2. Explain the importance of bylaws in establishing the legal and operational framework for coalitions and discuss how to draft bylaws that ensure transparency and accountability.
  3. Recognize how to create detailed, role-specific position descriptions that clarify responsibilities, expectations, and performance standards for coalition members and leaders.
