Course Description: The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDPB) Code of Ethics for Prevention Professionals and Prevention Scope of Practice differs from other disciplines. This training will review, discuss, and apply the requirements in order to ensure prevention practitioners are operating within the guidelines. Please note: This training fulfills the six contact hour ethics requirements for OCPS certification. Partial credit for one day only will NOT be given.

Learning Objectives:

1. Define ethics and related terms with the Prevention Think Tank Code of Ethical conduct.
2. Describe the Ohio Prevention Code of Ethics and how to apply it to various work situations.
3. Understand the Prevention Scope of Practice and how that relates to prevention ethics.
