Writing Goals, Objectives, & Outcomes that Clearly Demonstrate a Funder’s Return on Investment! (Evening Course)

VENUE: OCAM Virtual Training

Event Summary

Dec 7, 2023
1:00 pm - 4:15 pm
VENUE
OCAM Virtual Training

Description: The goals and objectives section of your grant proposal can make or break your request for funding. This section of your proposal describes what your organization hopes to accomplish with your project and spells out the specific results or outcomes you plan to achieve. Ultimately, it also defines the funder’s Return on Investment – or ROI – that will enhance the competitiveness of your proposal and increase your likelihood of winning an award! This session will help you understand the terminology for goals, objectives, and outcomes, and the differences between the three measures. As a bonus, it will also provide you with a foundation to better evaluate your prevention programming.

CEUS: Prevention, CHES
Hours: 3
Domains: PS2: Fiscal Management

Please note that this training is designed for individuals who already have their Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist credential and are looking to obtain their Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant credential.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Articulate the difference between goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  2. Define the do’s and don’ts related to quantifying your outcome measures.
  3. Explain how goals illustrate the ultimate vision for your prevention service.
