Description: 

Too often, performance reviews are a non-concept and/or non-standardized, whereby managers/supervisors are left to their own devices to create and maintain an employee review process that is not evenly administered with all employees throughout a prevention organization. How can you motivate and inspire employees in this manner? Well, simply stated—you can’t. Understanding techniques for effectively creating and conducting performance review will help you apply a fair and effective review process that will better motivate your teams and keep your employees and Human Resources department on the same page. This training is designed to equip advanced prevention professionals with the tools and techniques to conduct effective performance reviews and to create a culture of feedback in their organizations.

  • Define the benefits of effective performance reviews on both employers and employees
  • Describe the essential components of an effective performance review
  • Explain proactive measures for supervisors to prepare for the performance review meeting

Presenter: Ericka Harney PhD, CAE, CFRE, GPC, CVA
Dr. Ericka Harney has over 21 years of experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and strategic planning. She is responsible for successful fundraising and grant awards of over $35 million. She has educated thousands, served as a federal grant reviewer, co-founded a social enterprise, and was an executive director. At Harney & Associates, Ericka serves a variety of clients around the country. She is also a National Trainer for Grant Writing USA and an Assistant Professor at Future Generations University. Ericka is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a Grant Professional Certified (GPC), and a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA). Her Ph.D. is in Organizational Leadership concentrating on Nonprofit Leadership from Eastern University. She received her Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Bachelor of Science in Communication.
