Description:

This training equips participants with the knowledge and tools to embed trauma-informed principles into prevention strategies across sectors. Learn how understanding the impact of trauma enhances the effectiveness of programs addressing substance use, suicide, violence, and other public health concerns. Participants will explore practical frameworks for creating safe, supportive, and resilient environments that foster healing and prevention.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will develop a shared understanding and language of trauma
2. Participants will be able to describe the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences
3. Participants will be able to discuss the three Es of trauma: events, experiences, and effects and how
they relate to individual impact
4. Participants will construct new ways to approach their prevention practice to incorporate trauma
informed approaches
