Presenter: Jennifer Benson
Presenter Bio: Jennifer Benson is an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant. She is the owner of a consulting firm, Prevention Across the Ages, LLC which offers training and coaching for individuals and communities. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida State University and has worked in prevention for 20 years engaging in school-based programming, community services, and coalition work. Jennifer enjoys training and working with individuals and communities helping them gain the tools and skills needed to implement effective prevention practices. Along with three colleagues, Jennifer developed the adult low-risk drinking curriculum, Minimize Risk~Maximize Life.
Details
Community capacity building is something that prevention professionals need to understand. Gaining the knowledge of what capacity building is, how to implement it and examples will help give those who work in the community skills and abilities to better embed prevention in all aspects of the community.
