Appalachian Culture

Of the 88 counties in Ohio, 32 are considered to be part of Appalachia. The people, food, music, and culture are unique to this region.  In this training, we will discuss Appalachian Culture’s rich history and the many contributions of this region to Ohio.  We will also seek to understand those who identify as Appalachians as well as how to best reach this population.  Emphasis will be placed on cultural humility and a desire to increase understanding and connection.
