Description: 

Youth-led prevention is a real way that your prevention organization can contribute to real, positive change in your community. Youth-led prevention efforts bring youth to the table to plan prevention interventions within their community. Our youth are able to connect with their peers, and understand the problem as someone who is in the population we are serving - this perspective is vital. Here from a selection of panelists from around the state representing prevention organizations who support youth-led prevention efforts. We will share best practices for engaging youth in youth-led prevention programs, and ways we as adults can help support the process.

  1. Be able to define what youth-led prevention is
  2. Be able to identify helpful tools to help the youth-plan meaningful interventions
  3. Be able to define the adult allies role in supporting youth-led prevention
