Alysia Longmire is the Director of Prevention Action at PreventionFIRST! She has worked in the field of prevention since 1997. She is professionally credentialed as an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) and an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS). Alysia is an Ohio Coaching and Mentoring (OCAM) Network coach and mentor. Alysia previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Her work there focused on substance use/misuse prevention, addressing childhood trauma, and coordinating the People of Color Wellness Alliance (POCWA). Alysia participated in developing the Hamilton County Strategic Prevention Framework. She is a member of the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition (HCARC) African American Engagement Work Group (AAEW) and the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board Prevention Committee. Alysia is Trauma Response Care Certified and a member of the Tri-State Trauma Network. She was a YMCA Black Achiever in 2007 and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2010. She is a Board member of Q-Kidz — a non-profit providing dance and educational programs to Cincinnati youth. Her areas of expertise include research, childhood trauma, substance use/misuse prevention, and youth engagement. Alysia has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Education in curriculum & instruction in medical education from the University of Cincinnati. She has a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the College of Mount St. Joseph.
