**This course is meant for advanced prevention professionals with either an OCPS or OCPC. For newer prevention professionals, a regular or basic prevention ethics course is recommended.** Prevention professionals are required to follow an ethical code to ensure that we act with integrity and protect all those we work with within the community. Learning about the Code of Ethics is just the first step. In this course, we will take the information in our code of ethics and apply it to various work situations. This course is highly interactive and participants should expect to work in small groups with others on case studies.
Learning Objectives:
- Be knowledgeable about the Ohio’s Code of Ethics for Prevention Professionals
- Have a process for determining whether actions are ethical
- Know when, where, and how to report unethical actions
