Program evaluations continue to be an elusive, but necessary, part of prevention programs. This session covers the different types of evaluations, evaluation terminology, and the proper use of data. By the end of this session, attendees will be able to develop a solid evaluation plan for their prevention programs and understand how to effectively use outcome data. This knowledge helps to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of prevention programs through quality assurance measures. It also gives prevention providers a competitive advantage when writing and submitting grant proposals in order to sustain and/or expand prevention programs.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn about the fundamentals of program evaluations: what, why, who, and when
- Understand and differentiate evaluation terminology
- Implement quality assurance processes through a comprehensive evaluation system
