The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDPB) Code of Ethics for Prevention Professionals and Prevention Scope of Practice are different than those for other disciplines. This training will review, discuss, and apply the requirements in order to ensure prevention practitioners are operating within the guidelines. Please note: this training will meet the requirement for those interested in pursuing an OCPSA certification, or for those renewing an OCPSA, OCPS, OCPC certification. For those interested in obtaining an OCPS or OCPC designation, 6.0 contact hours of ethics is required.
Learning Objectives:
Define ethics and related terms.
- Describe the six principles in the Prevention Code of Ethics and how they relate to the Ohio
- Prevention Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice.
- Use an ethical decision-making process to apply the Prevention Code of Ethics.
