Allison Harrison, BSAS, OCPC
Allison Harrison has been in the prevention field for over 13 years. She graduated from Bachelor of Science in Applied Science (BSAS) in criminal justice and a Minor in psychology from Youngstown State University. She has worked with prevention agencies and organizations throughout the state. Allision was the program coordinator for the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG). As program coordinator, she worked with young adults in Columbiana County and assisted with the Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success (SPF-PFS) grant. Allison has been an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) since 2014.
Alysia Longmire, M.Ed., OCPC, ICPS
Alysia Longmire is the Manager of Prevention Action at PreventionFirst! She has worked in the field of prevention since 1997. She is professionally credentialed as an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) and an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS). Alysia has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Education in curriculum & instruction in medical education from the University of Cincinnati. She has a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the College of Mount St. Joseph. Alysia previously worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Her work there focused on substance use/misuse prevention, addressing childhood trauma, and coordinating the People of Color Wellness Alliance (POCWA).
Alysia participated in developing the Hamilton County Strategic Prevention Framework. She is a member of the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition (HCARC) African American Engagement Work Group (AAEW) and the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board Prevention Committee. Alysia is Trauma Response Care Certified and a member of the Tri-State Trauma Network. She was a YMCA Black Achiever in 2007 and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2010. She is a Board member of Q-Kidz — a non-profit providing dance and educational programs to Cincinnati youth. Her areas of expertise include research, childhood trauma, substance use/misuse prevention, and youth engagement.
Andrea Hoff, MPA, GPC, OCPC, ICPS
Andrea Hoff is president and owner of You Thrive Training & Consulting, LLC, a company that provides training and consulting services in the areas of behavioral health prevention, nonprofit leadership, and fundraising. Andrea has worked in the behavioral health field for over 25 years. She is professionally credentialed as both an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) and an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS). She is a certified instructor of Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid USA, a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer, and a Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) Instructor. She uses the Gallup ® CliftonStrengths assessments in her coaching work. She has her GPC (grants professional certification) along with extensive fundraising experience. Andrea has a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Dayton. Her areas of expertise include grant writing, prevention coalitions, prevention models and theories, strategic planning, logic modeling, program evaluations, human resources management, and suicide prevention.
Christi Valentini-Lackner, BS, OCPS
Christi Valentini-Lackner, Senior Director at PreventionFIRST! is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS). She has worked in the prevention field for 19 years. Christi has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Ohio University. She is co-author of the low-risk drinking course for adults, Minimize Risk-Maximize Life. Christi is an Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Association of Ohio (ADAPAO) board member. She currently serves as the association’s secretary and co-chairs the education & training team. In 2016, she received the ADAPAO Advocate of the Year award.
Cory Brown, OCPS
Cory Brown is Program Manager at the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). As program manager, he works to strengthen Ohio’s problem gambling support and service system. He coordinates PGNO’s statewide treatment trainings, fellowship and supervision programs, and the annual Ohio Problem Gambling Conference. Prior to joining PGNO, Cory worked in substance use/misuse prevention in Marion and Crawford counties. He has extensive experience in youth-led prevention as an adult ally to middle and high school students. Cory received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from The Ohio State University. He is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS). His areas of expertise include youth-led prevention, youth development, and credentialing.
Derek Longmeier, MBA, OCPC, ICPS
Derek Longmeier has worked in the prevention field for over 20 years. He is professionally credentialed as both an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) and an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS). Derek is founder of The ATOD Prevention Group, a private training and consulting company focused on enhancing community change through education, community-based process, and environmental strategies. Through the ATOD Prevention Group, he serves as the Executive Director of the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). Derek is a member of for the Ohio Problem Gambling Services Advisory Board and serves as chair of the Policy, Infrastructure and Gaming Industry committee. He is also a member of the OhioMHAS Prevention Round Table. Derek has Master of Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University, a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The Ohio State University, and a Certificate in Social Enterprise from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Derek is a master trainer for SAMHSA’s Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) and a certified trainer for SAMHSA’s Prevention Ethics. He consults in the areas of coalition development and strategic planning.
George A. Hicks III, OCPS, ICPS
George Hicks is a prevention consultant for the Maryhaven Gambling Intervention Program. He is professionally credentialed as both an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC) and an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS). George has over 25 years of program development and prevention experience. He is a member of The Ohio Adult Allies, a diverse network of adults committed to facilitating and advancing the work of youth-led programs. George has partnership with the City of Columbus Department of Recreation and Parks, Maryhaven, ArkBuilders Inc, Columbus Public Health, Asian American Community Services (AACS), Lead the Way Learning Academy, Capital University, CI Art Institute, and Be The Village Ohio. His areas of expertise include school and community programing, problem gambling prevention, urban youth engagement, and focused population prevention.
Honey Bell-Bey, BA, OCPS
Honey Bell-Bey is Director of Adolescent Services at the Cleveland Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program. She is also founder of several initiatives that use poetry as a bridge to build confidence and self-worth: Pint-Sized Poets for elementary schoolers, Elegant Ladies of Poetic Thought for young women and the renowned Distinguished Gentlemen of Spoken Word for young men. Honey is an Ohio Certified Drug Prevention Specialist (OCPS) and creator of How Well is your Well of Wellness: A review of SAMHSA’s Dimension of Wellness — a workshop series for social workers and mental health practitioners. She is a trainer for the Mandel Center at Case Western Reserve University, the Cuyahoga County Youth Work Institute, and a regional training liaison for the Institute for Human Services of Ohio. She is also a Master Trainer for Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (SAMHSA- Substance Abuse Prevention Skill Training). She has a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast production technology from historic Bethune-Cookman University. In January 2020, she was sworn in as the first official Poet Laureate of Cuyahoga County (Cleveland, Ohio). In May 2020, Honey was one of 23 national poets awarded an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship. She employs creative arts strategies to engage youth and adults. Her areas of expertise include substance use prevention, youth engagement, innovative practices, and culture and the integration of science.
Jennifer Benson, BA, OCPC
Jennifer Benson is president and owner of Prevention Across the Ages, LLC which offers training a consulting firm providing coaching for individuals and communities. She is an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC). Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Florida State University. She has over 20 years of prevention experience engaging in school-based programming, community services and coalition work. Her areas of expertise include training development, coaching supervisors, prevention science, coalition development, Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) planning, and prevention credentialing.
Miyohnna Terry, M.Ed.
Miyonna Terry is a Community Health Specialist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). She develops and manages public education programming, communication campaigns, and community engagement for the Drug & Poison Information Center (DPIC) at CCHMC. Miyohnna is certified in trauma response care and has a Master of Arts in education from Union Institute & University. She has experience in education and outreach programming among ethnic minority and underserved populations, and as a Family Literacy Specialist at Cincinnati Public Schools. Miyohnna is also graduate of the School Board School.
Nicole Schiesler,
M.Ed., MCHES, OCPC, ICPS
Nicole Schiesler is President and CEO at PreventionFIRST! She has worked in the prevention field since 1997. She is professionally credentialed as an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC), an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS), and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in community health from Ohio University and a Master of Education in health promotion and education from the University of Cincinnati. She is the 2019 recipient of the University of Cincinnati, College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) Distinguished Alumni Award. She is a graduate of the Community Leaders Institute (CLI) and the Nonprofit Leadership Institute of Greater Cincinnati (NLIGC.) EXCEL Leadership Program XIV. Nicole is also a BOLD 7 graduate and Leader Circle member — both programs of the Leadership Council for Nonprofits. She is a member of the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition (HCARC) and serves as co-chair of the coalition’s prevention committee. Nicole is also a member of the Ohio Prevention Advocacy Network (OPAN). She is a master trainer for SAMHSA’s Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST).
Sarah Sawmiller, MPH, OCPS, CHES
Sarah Sawmiller is Manager of Evaluation at PreventionFIRST! She is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS) and a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Sarah is an expert with data. She is responsible for implementation of the biennial PF! Student Survey, the Coalition Evaluation Center, and all things assessment and evaluation related. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science in health education, with a focus in public and community health and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in biostatistics, both from the University of Cincinnati. She is a 2019 graduate of the Community Leaders Institute (CLI).
William "Chip" Livisay,
BA, LSW, OCPS
Chip Livisay is the owner of the W. Osborne Group. He is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS). Chip has over thirty years of experience in human services. He has worked with the criminal justice system, educational system and has been an active leader in the substance use/misuse prevention and mental wellness fields. He was instrumental in the development of Ohio’s prevention credentialing process and was a trustee of the former Ohio Credentialing Board for Chemical Dependency Professionals (OCB) — serving two years as chair of the prevention committee. Chip is an alumnus of Otterbein College now Otterbein University and an inductee of the Otterbein College African American Hall of Fame. Additionally, he is a graduate of The Ohio State University, John Glenn School of Public Affairs, L2000+Leadership Academy. His areas of expertise include leadership development, multi-disciplinary/diverse partnership building, crisis management, conflict resolution, and substance use disorder assessment.
